Welcome to a new series I’m posting directly to my website, for posterity, if you will. I came to the realisation that I do need to keep the place active, and I thought there would be no better way to do this than by documenting my old newsletters - a little trip down memory lane for me, and something of a manual into madness for those of you who find yourself in the nether realms of my website.
So without further preamble, here it is, verbatim, from the day I sent it out!
Better Late Than Never - JSH Volume 1
Hello everybody,
I’m trying the newsletter thing! I’m not sure if Mailerlite will be the final destination, but for now, simplicity is key!
I want these to stay short and sweet, so here’s a quick summary of all the big news of late.
-The manuscript for Dark Sands is complete. That’s right, complete. No more edits, no more re-writes, the writing part is D.O.N.E. It’s currently being formatted, which, along with final proofing, is the final step on the way to publishing.
-The DARK SANDS cover is out in the wild! The reveal was an awesome, heart-warming experience, thank you again to all who helped out. June has been a very difficult month for me for an array of reasons, and your support has made a massive difference. Thank you. <3
-The DARK SANDS blurb is also ready! This thing took hours and hours, and about eight iterations and fifteen separate pieces of feedback. And what this all means, is I now have all the pieces of the marketing puzzle together, at last!
-ARC Signups have commenced - to be honest, I ummed and ahhed over doing ARCs for a very long time, but have decided to throw everything at the wall and go for it. Many of you have signed up already, and thanks again for the support! If you haven't yet, but want to know more, please reach out.
-We hit 750 followers on Instagram! Woohoo!!
Hopefully I’ll get better at this newsletter thing as we go along – I’ll try to keep the updates coming at the end of every month.
